Urus Ishinca Tocllaraju Expedition
Urus Ishinca Tocllaraju Expedition
The Urus Ishinca Tocllaraju Expedition is a progressive high altitude mountaineering program designed for climbers seeking technical development, solid acclimatization, and a final ascent above 19,800 ft in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, Peru.
This expedition strategically combines the ascents of Nevado Urus and Nevado Ishinca as acclimatization peaks before attempting Tocllaraju, one of the most elegant and technical six thousand meter mountains in the Ishinca Valley. The Urus Ishinca Tocllaraju Expedition follows a step by step progression that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and summit success.
As part of a proper preparation plan, we strongly recommend completing a trekking acclimatization program such as our Santa Cruz Trek before joining the Urus Ishinca Tocllaraju Expedition, allowing your body to adapt gradually to altitude and effort.
For independent technical references and route information in the Cordillera Blanca, you can also consult the American Alpine Club, a trusted source for mountaineering documentation worldwide.
