Chopicalqui Mountain Climbing Expedition - 5 Days
Chopicalqui Mountain Climbing is a challenging high-altitude expedition for experienced climbers looking to reach one of the major 6,000 meter summits of Peru’s Cordillera Blanca.
Starting from Huaraz, the expedition enters the spectacular Llanganuco Valley and progresses through Base Camp, Moraine Camp and High Camp. The summit route follows the Southwest Ridge, combining glacier travel with demanding snow and ice climbing before reaching the 6,354 m / 20,846 ft summit.
This guided Chopicalqui climb from Huaraz requires excellent physical condition, proper acclimatization and previous mountaineering experience. Climbers should be confident using crampons, ice axe, harness and rope systems in high-altitude glacier terrain.
