Vallunaraju Climbing Expedition

We leave Huaraz by private transportation toward the Llaca Valley, one of the traditional access routes for Vallunaraju.

The approach gradually enters the high Andes, offering impressive views of glaciers, valleys and surrounding peaks. After reaching Moraine Camp, the team reviews climbing equipment and prepares for the summit attempt.

The summit attempt begins before dawn.

The team enters the glacier roped together and climbs through snow and ice terrain toward Vallunaraju’s summit. The route requires the use of crampons, ice axe and rope systems while crossing high-altitude glacier terrain.

If weather and mountain conditions allow, we reach the 5,686 m / 18,655 ft summit, enjoying spectacular views of the Cordillera Blanca before descending back to Moraine Camp.

After breakfast, we descend through the Llaca Valley toward the trailhead.

Private transportation returns the team to Huaraz, completing the Vallunaraju climbing experience in the Cordillera Blanca.

This 3-day program combines glacier travel, high-altitude climbing and one of the most impressive mountain landscapes near Huaraz.
