Meet Our Team
The Team Behind Every Adventure
Our team brings together mountain experience, a genuine passion for the Andes and deep local knowledge. Mountain guides, cooks, muleteers and logistics staff work together to create safe, authentic and memorable adventures throughout the Peruvian Andes.
A Team Prepared to Take You Further
Our team is made up of professionals who share a deep connection with the mountains and extensive experience in trekking, climbing and expeditions throughout the Peruvian Andes. Their preparation, local knowledge and commitment to safety allow them to support you through every stage of your journey.
From the first steps of acclimatization to remote trekking routes and high altitude expeditions, our goal is to provide professional guidance, personalized attention and the confidence that comes from traveling with people who truly know the mountains.
A Team Shaped by Real Mountain Experience
The Exploria team is built on a combination of practical field experience, deep knowledge of the Andean environment and a way of working based on preparation and responsibility. Our history is closely connected to the mountains, and that connection is reflected in the people who support every expedition, trek and journey we operate.
For us, it is not simply about having an operational team. It is about working with people who understand a mountain journey from the inside people who know what it takes to support travelers in real conditions of altitude, changing weather, remote terrain and demanding routes.

The People Behind Exploria
Meet Our Expedition Team
Every successful journey is made possible by the coordinated work of people with different roles, skills and responsibilities. Each member of the team contributes to creating an experience that is organized, personal and connected to the mountains we call home.
Mountain Guides
Our mountain guides are at the heart of many Exploria adventures. They bring knowledge of the terrain, professional judgment on the route, close support and a deep understanding of what it means to travel through the Peruvian Andes.
Their role goes far beyond showing the way. They help evaluate conditions, manage the pace of the group, make decisions in the field and accompany travelers throughout the mountain experience.
Expedition Staff
Cooks, porters, muleteers and support staff are essential members of our trekking and expedition operations. Their work keeps each journey moving smoothly, from camps and meals to equipment and logistical support in remote mountain environments.
Much of what makes a great expedition possible happens quietly behind the scenes, and our expedition staff are a fundamental part of that experience.
Trip Coordination and Operations
Every successful adventure begins long before you reach the trail. Behind each itinerary is a team responsible for route planning, logistical preparation, transportation, accommodation, permits, services and the many details required to keep a journey running smoothly.
This coordination allows the different parts of your trip to work together as one complete experience.

Our Founders
Edwin y Marco Milla
Exploria was founded and is led by Edwin and Marco Milla, continuing a family tradition deeply connected to mountaineering in the Cordillera Blanca.
Raised close to the mountains and shaped by years of experience in the Peruvian Andes, they represent the continuation of a legacy that brings together practical mountain knowledge, professional training and a deep understanding of the territory.
Their experience helps define the identity of Exploria and the way every journey is created:
with professionalism, personal attention and deep respect for the mountains.
Continuous Training
Because Safety Is Never Left to Chance
In high altitude mountain environments, preparation is essential. That is why our team participates in regular training and annual activities that include mountain rescue exercises, first aid training for high-altitude environments, technical equipment updates and traveler care workshops.
Mountain conditions evolve, equipment changes and good professionals continue learning. We do not rely on improvisation. We rely on preparation. If you would like to learn more about the procedures, equipment and risk-management approach behind our adventures, visit our Safety & Risk Management section.
