Adventure Travel Company in Huaraz Peru

We are an adventure travel company specializing in journeys throughout Peru, with a family history deeply connected to mountaineering and an approach built on safety, responsibility and attention to detail.

A Story Born in the Mountains

The story of Exploria began long before the brand itself. It starts with Faustino Milla, whose life was closely connected to the early development of mountaineering in the Cordillera Blanca, and continues with Edwin and Marco Milla, who carried that family tradition forward and transformed it into a professional approach to sharing the Andes with travelers from around the world.

Exploria grew from this legacy: a genuine connection with the mountains, strong technical training and a clear belief that an exceptional journey should bring together nature, culture, professional organization and deep local knowledge.

What We Do at Exploria

We design and operate trekking, mountaineering, climbing, day tours and cultural journeys in Peru, with a strong focus on the Cordillera Blanca, Cordillera Huayhuash and other key destinations throughout the country.

We also create tailor-made journeys and private group experiences and work with travel agencies looking for a reliable local operating partner in the Peruvian Andes.

Our approach is centered on adapting each journey to the traveler: their experience, preferred pace, goals and the kind of adventure they genuinely want to experience.

Why Travel with Exploria

No improvisamos. Diseñamos. Conoce nuestra filosofía de viaje: grupos reducidos, ritmo humano, respeto por los tiempos de la montaña y una logística que prioriza tu experiencia por encima de todo.

Our Team

The Andes are not explored through brochures. They are explored with people. Meet the guides, cooks, muleteers, porters and coordinators who make each journey possible. Our team combines technical preparation, real mountain experience and genuine dedication to what they do.

Safety

Adventure should never come at the expense of your wellbeing. Discover our safety procedures, communication systems, emergency planning and approach to risk management and why safety comes before every summit, trail or destination.

More Than Guides Guardians of Your Experience

Working in high altitude mountain environments requires continuous training and professional standards that go far beyond the basics. Our mountain guiding approach follows internationally recognized standards such as those established by the IFMGA, the international federation for professional mountain guide associations.

Our activities within protected areas are carried out in accordance with the requirements and regulations of Huascarán National Park and SERNANP, and we apply Leave No Trace principles to help minimize our impact on the environments we explore. Our goal is simple: to help ensure that the trails and mountain landscapes we experience today can continue to be enjoyed and respected by future generations.

A More Responsible Way to Travel

At Exploria, we believe that knowing a place deeply also means respecting it and contributing to its protection. Our approach brings together environmental responsibility, collaboration with local communities and economic opportunities in the places where we operate.

We also believe in fair working conditions for guides, cooks, porters, muleteers and other members of our expedition teams. Because a meaningful travel experience is not defined only by what the traveler sees it also depends on how that experience is created behind the scenes.
